The Governor-elect of Delta State, Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, has remarked that the Uvwie Kingdom is a reference point for peaceful co-existence and mutual understanding.
This was contained in his goodwill message to HRM (Dr) Emmanuel Ekemejewa Sideso, JP, OON, Abe 1, the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom on his 15th coronation anniversary.
The goodwill message read in part “In the past decade and a half, Your Royal Majesty has impressed with your leadership, acumen, strength of character, and sense of purpose.
” You have displayed uncommon statesmanship as the traditional ruler of a domain that is home to different tribes and tongues.
“Uvwie is home to me, and I believe I speak the minds of many when I say that your kingdom has become a reference point of peaceful coexistence and mutual understanding. “
The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly in the goodwill message also celebrated the highly esteemed traditional ruler.
His words ” I celebrate your vision and desire for the progress and wellbeing of your people.
” As you celebrate this milestone, I pray that the next fifteen years will witness the actualization of all the dreams that you have in your heart for the great people of Uvwie Kingdom.
” Even more significant, may you reign long in good health, strength, wisdom and prosperity.”
The governor-elect of Delta State seized the opportunity to express his heartfelt gratitude to the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom for his fatherly advice and moral support in the course of his (Rt Hon Oborevwori ) electioneering campaigns.
” They were very encouraging, and I will certainly need more of such from you to succeed as governor ” the message added.
