The Urhobo Progress Union (UPU), United Kingdom (UK) will be celebrating its 2022 Urhobo Day from Friday, August 26 – Sunday, August 28.

The theme of the three-day event, which holds at All Saints Community Centre, 105 New Cross Road, New Cross, London, SE14 5DJ, is: “Unity and Engagement for Urhobo Progress” and is expected to be graced by prominent Deltans, including His Excellency, Senator (Barr.) Ovie Omo-Agege, Deputy President of the Senate; His Excellency, Senator (Dr). Ifeanyi A. Okowa, Executive Governor, Delta State; Olorogun (Dr.) Moses Oghenerume Taiga, JP, President-General, UPU Worldwide; His Royal Majesty, Avwaeke 1, Ovie of Umiaghwa-Abraka Kingdom; His Royal Majesty, Ogurime-rime Ukori I, Ovie Of Agbon Kingdom, and others from across the globe.

The celebration will also feature a conference with Urhobo Leaders of Thought, Urhobo Community Thanksgiving Service, and the Urhobo House UK Launch.
