Senator Shehu Sani wants an end to the arrest and persecution of young boys with Afro Hairstyle in Nigeria.

The Rights Activist and writer, in a post made on his verified Facebook page on Saturday, July 24, asked State Governments, security agencies, and religious bodies to put a stop to the act

Describing himself as ‘Chairman, Afro Hair Movement,’ the former senator representing Kaduna Central, wrote: “The arrest and persecution of young boys with Afro Hairstyle by any state Government, Security agency or religious group must stop. If we start our struggle for self-determination don’t blame us. Leave our Hair alone, please. Afro Hair is our right. “

Meanwhile, reports monitored by U-Metro reveal that suspected bandits have attacked a police station in Marraraban — Jos village in Kaduna State, leaving a police officer dead.

It was gathered that the bandits invaded the police station on Saturday in a bid to release their detained colleagues.

Reacting to the attack, Shehu Sani, in a tweet on his Twitter account, wrote, “Bandits raided a police formation in Marraraban-Jos village in the Outskirts of Kaduna in an attempt to free their detained men and they killed a police officer in Kundun-Zungeru, Niger State, the birthplace of the late President (Nnamdi) Azikiwe. The bandits and the police are battling.”
