Another kills Wife, commits suicide over financial dispute
Warangal, India – In a tragic incident on Thursday, July 11, 2024 a man allegedly murdered the parents of his former lover, blaming them for the couple’s separation, according to local police. The attack took place early in the day while the family was sleeping outside their home.
The suspect, who had previously eloped with the woman last year, had lived with her before their separation. For the past six months, she had been residing with her parents. Preliminary investigations suggest that the man held a grudge against the parents, believing they were responsible for ending the relationship.
In addition to killing the elderly couple, the suspect also attacked the woman and her brother. Police have taken the accused into custody, and the woman has confirmed to media outlets that he was responsible for the brutal assault on her family. An official case has been registered, and the investigation is ongoing.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a 45-year-old man allegedly killed his wife during a dispute over financial issues before taking his own life in Chenna Reddy Colony on Tuesday, July 9.
The suspect, identified as Manda Cheralu, worked as a mason. On the night of the incident, Manda and his wife, Swapna, 42, engaged in a heated argument that escalated into violence. Manda reportedly struck Swapna with a pestle, inflicting fatal head injuries.
Overcome with remorse, Manda ingested pesticides and died shortly after. The couple’s three children were staying with relatives at the time of the incident. Upon their return on Wednesday morning, the children discovered the bodies and alerted family members.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into both incidents, which have left the community in shock.
